Louer

Returns & Damage Policy

Louer is built on trust, care, and shared responsibility.

This policy outlines how returns, wear, and damage are handled to ensure fairness for both renters and lenders.

Item Care

  • Renters are not required to clean items before returning them.
  • Items should be returned unwashed and unaltered.
  • Lenders are responsible for standard post-rental cleaning once an item is returned.

Normal Wear

Normal wear is expected and accounted for as part of renting.

Examples of normal wear may include minor fabric softening or light signs of use consistent with responsible wear.

Excessive Wear or Damage

Excessive wear or damage beyond normal use may include:

  • Heavy staining
  • Strong or persistent odors
  • Tears, rips, or missing components
  • Damage requiring specialty treatment or repair

In these cases, Louer may assess the situation and apply charges in accordance with this policy.

How Damage Is Handled

If damage is identified:

  • Louer will review the issue fairly and transparently
  • Renters may be responsible for repair or replacement costs
  • Lenders will be supported according to Louer's standards

Our goal is always resolution—not punishment.
